November is here...which means it's time for Movember!
Most of you might already know about this global event but just in case...here is the info. For the month of November, help support a good cause by growing your mustache (or encouraging the men around you to) to help raise funds and awareness for men's health!

Streamer Coffee Company
My cafe hop continues! This time I visited the renowned coffee shop, Streamer Coffee Company.
The barista and founder of Streamer, Hiroshi Sawada was 2008's Free Pour Latte Art champion. His coffee was indeed great! I ordered this delectable mocha served by their finest barista. The location I went to was the one in Harajuku, but Streamer has two other locations in Shibuya and Osaka.
this 3 story cafe is cool yet cozy. one thing is there aren't too many seats but a great place to chat with friends or enjoy the atmosphere. definitely a must go to cafe in Japan!

Wine Connection, Bangkok
I made a short stop in Bangkok for my summer vacation and went to this really nice restaurant.
The wine bar/bistro branches are segregated around the heart of the city and this very one is around the
Sukhumvit area, at Phrom Phong station.
It has spacious and modern decor plus great selections of wine, coffee and tapas. I definitely recommend aSukhumvit area, at Phrom Phong station.
visit if you're in Bangkok!

DIY rustic box
I'm a huge fan of reclaimed wood items. I've been longing to make a DIY project for a while now but let's face it, I'm no carpenter! The short cut and cheat for me is to use acrylic paint to replicate the rustic look. Let's take a look at some steps to get the DIY reclaimed wood replica!
These are some items I started with.
Mix the base color you'd like. For this specific box, I chose ash baby blue.
Color the top coat. They can either be smooth or textured, up to you!
Here's the important step. Use tape to block out some areas and apply the darker pigments to add in the rustic look.
And Voila! They're done!
